LUIS A VIRGÜEZ
FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL
Luis A. Virgüez is a native of Caracas, Venezuela and fluent in both Spanish and English. He migrated to Atlanta when he was 8 years old.
Mr. Virgüez graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. While at UGA, he was involved with the Public Relations Student Society of America, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Golden Key International Society.
Mr. Virgüez then attended the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University. While in law school, he was heavily involved with the Chicano Latino Law Student Association and in the Arizona State Immigration Clinic where he obtained his first experience in immigration law.
After law school, Mr. Virgüez began his legal career at a non-profit organization handling immigration cases. In 2009, he co-founded what later became a high-volume boutique firm known as Sessoms & Virgüez. He has handled hundreds of immigration cases ranging from family petitions, business and employment visas to cases in removal proceedings across different jurisdictions and immigration courts in the United States.
In 2016 Mr. Virgüez established his own firm, Virgüez & Associates which focuses on immigration and personal injury. Mr. Virgüez is Of Counsel at The Geary Law Firm in relation to those areas of law.
